(Note: For the most part, this blog will be analyzing the original timeline of Arcueid as most of this was done last year. Once the remake is fully translated and we get more of Arc in FGO, this blog will be due for an update. (Speaking of such, massive SPOILERS for the visual novels if you ever plan to read them)

Background

A long time ago, the earth's own nature was in danger because of mankind contaminating the environment. As a result, Gaia in distress tried to call a celestial body for help, and the one to answer was the Brunestud of the Crimson Moon, the original vampire. With him, they created a mechanism of self defense to the planet, this mechanism was a set of powerful vampiric beings modeled after him known as True Ancestors or Shinso, that were able to walk in the sun and had the set goal of returning the planet to its former state by being mediators of nature and ruling the planet in their castle, making them the "consciousness of the planet" itself. But by the 12th century the species greatly decreased due to the psychological flaw of their vampiric impulses to drink blood which came from inheriting it from their predecessor, the Crimson Moon. And as a result of some Ancestors falling into their impulses and the influx of humans turned into vampires called Dead Apostles, the remaining Ancestors molded a being with the meaningless goal of being the strongest of their kind and slay vampires, this was Arcueid Brunestud.

Seeing as they just made the strongest of their kind, they naturally named Arcueid as the White Princess of the Castle and gave her the title of Brunestud, a title passed to those who could summon the Millenium Castle Brunestud. But beyond titles, Arcueid throughout her life didn't have much contact or positive interactions with the other ancestors or the outside world beyond the vampire targets & info she would be sent to kill, as the True Ancestors only thought of her as an emotionless weapon meant to execute only fallen True Ancestors and wiped her memory of the events, only Zelretch as an enemy of her Ancestor told her that she’d eventually find the joy of human emotions in life. This fatal mistake of being initially an emotionless vampire would lead to their undoing, as one night after one of her missions, a priest seeking true immortality by the name of Roa tricked Arcueid to make her consume his blood, which as a result would turn him into a super powerful Dead Apostle and steal some of Arcueid’s power, making Arcueid fall into her vampiric impulses and go out on a rampage, wiping out the rest of the True Ancestors the moment she returned into the castle.

Now all alone as the only True Ancestor, Arcueid would rest in the castle and use the chains to restrain herself, in order to gain some of her power to hold her impulses back. When she woke up with a new regained conscience, she found out that now-vampire and smooth criminal Roa was causing trouble for the Burial Agency he founded, so she teamed up with them and killed him. But it turned out Roa wasn’t quite dead for good thanks to a newfound ability to reincarnate on different bodies, so Arcueid had to wake up in different eras whenever Roa found a new body to reincarnate and attempt to kill him permanently so she could regain her power back, adapting herself with the habits and customs of each age she woke in through info only then to rest back at her castle once Roa’s current host was destroyed.

However, the location of Roa’s 17th reincarnation would unexpectedly turn out to be in Misaki City in Japan. This would be where Arcueid’s search and purpose as a weapon would finally be put at a hold upon meeting a plain looking boy by the name of Shiki Tohno in a fateful encounter….

……By unconsciously stalking her to her apartment and slicing her into 17 pieces of course! Don’t ask, just keep reading.

Of course, that’s not where Arc’s story ends. After Tohno escaped, Arcueid was somehow still alive but greatly wounded and unable to regenerate, left in constant frustration and anger from her trial and error in attempting to put her current body back together, Arcueid created an entirely new body out of nothing as a last resort to take revenge on who left her in this further weakened state. However, after sometime she wondered if it was right to take her anger out on her killer, gaining a newfound interest in him and upon finding the kind of person this boy was again found her expectations were right, forgiving him. Though this was not without a cost… she asked for him to be her human shield for the next few days in order to recover her power and Shiki joined in on the fight to hunt Roa and his undead.

This period of time is where Arcueid’s relationship with Tohno soon grew to be more and more closer, having finally the chance to find the joys of the daily human world by experiencing them this time through Tohno himself as they soon went on a date, going into places like theaters, restaurants and arcades and so building more of her own identity and emotions as a result of finally discovering the world. Just as Zelretch once foretold after fighting for so long as a weapon and resting for centuries, Arcueid experienced the joy of humans.

Abilities

Vampiric Physiology

In the world of Tsukihime, there exists two types of vampires: True Ancestors and Dead Apostles. As a True Ancestor and the strongest of her kind, Arcueid herself is able to casually walk on day unlike their Apostle successors and can hold back her vampiric impulses by using her own power. She’s also immensely powerful and grows even more so under the night in a full moon, usually fighting aggressively with brute force by using this raw power through her razor sharp nails, which can also create waves of energy to travel through the ground as projectiles/shockwaves and with her blurring fast speed is able to overwhelm most opponents. Of course, she also has typical vampire abilities such as blood sucking(though she refuses to do so) which is able to soil even the soul and make undead, sensing, which allows her to sense the presence of humans and non-humans. And of course her immortality, which allowed her to persist as a woman in her 20s for 800+ years. Other notable abilities of hers include:

Regeneration

All vampires heal by reversing time to restore a body part back to its original state. Being a True Ancestor, Arcueid's regenerative capabilities should greatly exceed most other vampires, especially during a full moon. For example: Roa has shown to regenerate as far as his ankles after being cut into pieces by Arcueid and Nero Chaos could regenerate from being cut in half. However, this regeneration has its limits if Arcueid is cut by conceptual weapons: such as when Tohno cut her 17 times with the Mystic Eyes of Death Perception (see above). Though at a full moon, she becomes unable to be seen by the Mystic Eyes, and at her most powerful, is said to have no concept of "death" by Ryougi (Ryougi's Mystic Eyes of Death even surpass those of Shiki Tohno's); Archetype also confirms this.

Teleportation and Portal Creation

Arcueid can create portals to travel to different universes, as shown when she created a portal to travel from the Moon Cell to Earth.

Note: The Moon Cell doesn't exist in the universe of Tsukihime/Melty Blood, and is exclusive to just the universe of Fate EX, so Arcueid would have traveled from the Fate EX universe back to her own.

Arcueid is also capable of teleportation.

Reactive Evolution

Arcueid becomes increasingly more resistant towards any magic she's experienced, with the only magic she has no resistances towards are ones she has yet to experience. This is to the point that she possesses enough Mystery to resist and nullify most Magecraft in the Nasuverse. Some of these magics include:

Elemental Manipulation: Several magecraft users such as Rin Tohsaka or Roa can launch fire, thunder or ice attacks, as shown above Arcueid has ranked similar magic.
Paralysis and Hypnosis: Magi such as Illya are able to bind people with their mystic eyes. Shirou Emiya, who was lacking in magecraft at the time, could break free under this spell.
Curse Manipulation: Gandr shots are able to inflict diseases on the targets it hits
Conceptual Manipulation: Survived Sion's Black Barrel Replica, a weapon stated to be conceptual. The Black Barrel is noted to have killed Type Venus, the Ultimate One of Venus
Mind manipulation, biological manipulation, and soul manipulation: Sion says that her Etherlite would be ineffective against Arcueid. Etherlite hacks the body, mind and soul to control someone's body and read their thoughts. It can also fry nerves and the brain.
Heat manipulation: Akiha's Caging Hair ability, which plunders the heat someone, would be ineffective on Arcueid due to her high ranking spiritual nature.

Mystic Eyes of Enchantment

Through eye contact, Arcueid is able to impose her will onto someone. She can manipulate and erase memories, as well paralyze someone through this.

Marble Phantasms

Marble Phantasms are the ability to manifest any vision an Elemental desires into the world,by connecting her will into the world by her connection, Arcueid can transform the world’s nature around her or create any phenomena through probability alteration. Arcueid has used this ability to create a vacuum that cut through and left Roa as a massive splatter of blood, or to grow in size.

Millennium Castle Brunestud

Her Reality Marble, Millenium Castle Brunestud, is a dimension in the form of a castle that Arcueid can take anyone into and her sign of being Brunestud. This is where her ancestor’s lair is located; Arcueid can freely take her power in any way she likes without any restriction, from here or outside. Arcueid can additionally summon giant chains to shield herself and bind or attack her opponents(for reference, they’re strong enough to hold back Arc).

You’re in the Way!

A rekka-type attack where Arcueid swings her claws three times, releasing purple aura around her to damage her opponent.

What are you doing…!

A combination of lower and upper hitting claw attacks.

Ready…. Go!

Arcueid proceeds to dash and deliver an elbow strike.

Quiet!

A rising claw dragon punch that sends her opponent into the air, allowing her enough time to deliver another one.

How’s That!?

Arcueid releases a purple shockwave from the ground.

Over here!

Arcueid dashes behind her opponent, the charged version has her grab her opponent’s face and throw them.

Alte Schule

Warc releases a stream of bloody red rings to hit her opponent that she can also throw from the air, she can launch multiple of these

Rage Moerder

Warc rushes in and claws her opponent into the ground.

Hime Kick

Archetype kicks her opponent hard enough to send them bouncing several times around the screen.

Arc Drive

(yes that’s what it’s actually called)

Arcueid summons chains from her castle to trap her opponent, before striking with a red colored wave.

Blut Die Schwester

Using her Marble Phantasm, Arcueid creates the moon from 1000 years in the future and drops it into the earth. Also stated by WoG that the ability creates a mirror image of the moon.

Memory

Archetype seemingly uses her telekinesis to make her opponent levitate, before overwhelming them in a blast of light.

Last Arc

Shall We Play Around Some?

Arcueid summons a phantom of Archetype Earth for a brief moment, and then fires a beam of energy from above down on her opponent.

Gnadentoss

Warc overwhelms her opponent with a stream of chains, before releasing a stream of purple energy.

The End

Archetype seals her opponent within a tiny spherical prison, embracing them. Before being sent flying away by a supernova.

Connection to Nature

Receiving backup from the Counter Force, Arcueid's power will rise to be slightly higher than her opponent's. This notably only works if the opponent is from earth, or if she's fighting while on earth. Additionally, Arcueid can reduce someone's stats to 1/6th of their original stats while she's on the moon.

We had to mention this dubious little creature at some point, didn’t we? Whatever the explanation of it’s menacing existence may be it’s apparently a species that lives in the Great Cat Village, Arcueid has shown the ability to turn into one of course. The species has been shown to fly like a rocket, shoot beams from its eyes or just stretch and separate its own body like rubber(She took a bite of gum gum) to do all sorts of wacky antics.

Red Arcueid

Red Arcueid (also known as Warcuied and Berserk Arcueid), is Arcueid no longer restraining her vampiric impulse, and has become a Demon Lord. In this state, Arcueid no longer is holding back on her opponent, and has access to more of her abilities.

Archetype Earth

(Let me show you how to scratch it~!)

The Crimson Moon persona of Arcueid that can take over and wants to destroy all human life on earth, beginning it anew. She's capable of using the full extent of Arcueid's abilities and holds more authority over the planet than Arcueid typically does in her previous states, including Red Arcueid. Such as the ability to directly manipulate Earth’s nature in whatever she wants, like:

She's also stated she's capable of granting immortality, make people fall in a space-time rifts, use telekinesis/flight and can increase her size to become bigger than Earth.

Archetype Earth is able to destroy the earth in several ways through manipulating its nature. Either by melting the ice from north and south poles, or disrupting the earth’s axis to play pinball with the continents.
30% of her power is considered to be the equivalent of 4 Servants
Being potentially the strongest being in the Nasuverse and having contended with servants before, Arcueid should scale to several feats from the other TYPE-MOON series:

Superior to Saber, whose Noble Phantasm can do this(142.93 Megatons, large city)
Superior to Judge, whos death scream tore apart a continent
Comparable to Type Jupiter, who scorched the western continent
Superior to Amakusa Shirou Tokisada, who can create a black hole. (3.921 Exatons of TNT-0.347 FOE)
Superior to Iskandar, whose Reality Marble creates a dimension with a sun. (0.1053 FOE physically, 1.053 KiloFOE with Marble Phantasm)
Superior to Mash Kyrielight, who helped in destroying a Tree of Emptiness which contained a galaxy.

Superior to Billy the Kid, who can survive getting shot with energy equal to that of an entire galaxy; and maybe even that of an universe.
Comparable and stated to be the only one to defeat Amaterasu, who is stated to destroy the entire multiverse.

Said laser moves in a straight line, cuts/burns on contact, is called a laser and is stated to be an optical heat weapon. So it should be a real laser.

Durability

States that Shiki wouldn't have been able to cut her if not for his Eyes of Death
Survives and crawls out of several steel beams falling onto her
Took a massive blast head on that could be seen from far away from Eltnam’s Black Barrel Replica
Doesn't move an inch after being caught in a magical trap set by Roa
Gets knocked extremely far away by Giant Akiha, but receives no injuries.

Weaknesses

̶-T̶s̶u̶k̶i̶h̶i̶m̶e̶ ̶a̶n̶i̶m̶e̶

-Arcueid has to use a large amount of her power to seal away her vampiric impulse to avoid becoming a Demon Lord, and as such, is rarely ever at full power. External factors that require her to use her powers can make suppressing this more difficult. As of Melty Blood, after getting the portion of her power back that Roa stole from her, she's using 50% of her power to hold back her vampiric impulse, and thus, is normally at half her full power. There is also the fact that conceptual weapons that she has yet to experience can nullify her time-reversing regeneration, and if they have an ability similar in nature to the Mystic Eyes of Death, they can cut off her connection to nature.
