Edward Falcon Power Fusions with DEATH BATTLE!
Before we start….
This blog will be compositing both his game and anime incarnations, with a focus on the latter primarily; as it contains more info on his character, feats and history. Despite both Falcons having a different goal with their Power Stone, with Anime!Falcon not interested and wanting to give the stone away initially to rid himself of it, whereas Game!Falcon wants it to achieve his wishes and dreams. Both still generally act brash, adventurous and hot-headed, all while bearing a similar grudge with their parent. Not to mention that the anime adapts the events of the first game and general plotline around the Power Stones with some variations ofc, so it’s safe to say the two aren’t too different.
Background

Nickname: The Red Whirlwind
Called Edward Fokker in Japan, yes. Seriously.
Future heir to the Aristocratic Falcon family
An expert plane pilot and aviator
Shares a voice with Japanese Vegeta(game wise at least)
In the 20th century, many superstitions and legends from all sorts of brave adventurers around the world surround mysterious relics called the Power Stones. Which are said to grant the wishes of any person who gets their hands on them first, giving them the power to destroy and create or conjure light and darkness. One of these adventurers was a rich anthropologist from Londo called Pride Falcon, who set his sights on those legendary stones and traveled all around the world to find them. But these adventures made him completely neglect his young son and protagonist of our story, Edward Falcon. Who was constantly bullied in his childhood by all the kids, with no father figure to protect him from all this targeted harassment from that day on Falcon held a grudge against his father. Until he found out about Valgas! a legendary fighter heard from all around the world who would become his idol and inspired Falcon to stand up for himself: toughing up and training as a Boxer who would compete in mixed-martial art matches.
With this career path, Falcon kept on fighting and grew into a bit of a selfish douche. Ignoring his overwhelming duties as the heir of the Falcon family and spending his days as a boxer, this was until one day Falcon received a strange package from his father in the mail. This package just so happened to contain a Power Stone, and Falcon understandably wasn’t too happy about the stone itself. This was before a chance encounter with the Kraken pirates who sought to steal the stone, and meeting/fighting his soon-to-be samurai rival Ryoma, that he would transform into The Red Whirlwind and learn about the Power Stone’s well…. Power lol. And soon chose to protect it so that it wouldn’t fall into the wrong hands, so Falcon traveled around the world to learn about the secret of the stones and seek the current whereabouts of his father. Though he initially wasn’t too keen about the latter.
Overtime, Falcon regularly battled the Kraken pirates around the world and continuously screwed with Kraken’s plans time and time again, while continuously learning more and more about the stones and his father. He met all sorts of reliable people and companions with their own Power Stones who would regularly tag along and join in his quest, like the trained ninja girl and performer Ayame from Moon Land, the fortune teller Rogue who Falcon had a crush on from Sand Land, and many more. His quest would come to a stop when he met his hero Valgas, it was basically a dream come true.
But it wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows as Falcon thought, as it turns out Valgas was in fact a much shadier character behind the scenes and rigged his fights. He also sent several monsters to steal the Power Stones from his team members, to use it to grant his wish of his own ideal world. When Falcon heard this, he simply could not accept his hero had done this and lashed out against his friends. But it’s okay, don't worry, he eventually talked it out with them and they set out to stop Valgas from collecting all the power stones and granting his wish. Now traveling to Darkland, Falcon eventually went face to face with his now fallen hero. Learning that Valgas wanted to create a harsh world with the harshest environment where heroes rise, just like in the books they used to read. Falcon of course disagreed with that idea, from his journey he learned that the world was a much more exciting place full of great people and that it did not simply need to change.
While the fight was a tough one and Falcon got his ass kicked initially without the power stone, with his determination to win for his friends and family summoned the Light Stone and transformed into the Light Whirlwind. Being strong enough to defeat the now horribly mutated Final Valgas, in that moment as the powerful light began to surround him Falcon realized that Valgas was just like him. A weak and frightened child who was also bullied and without anyone there to help him, Falcon hugged his now fallen hero as he faded away. The Power Stone heroes put their Power Stones at the altar where they originally belonged, and they were spread out to the rest of the world once more so that it wouldn’t fall under the wrong hands.
On his quest, Falcon also met his father Pride yet again. And purely out of spite for what he did years ago, set out on his plane Hockenheim and left his ass despite Pride begging to come along. Following onto his next adventure wherever his heart led him.
Experience, Intelligence and Skill
With his rough upbringing and desire to become strong if not the strongest, it’s no surprise Falcon became quite a formidable fighter training on his own. Having trained ever since he was a child. His style seems to be some unspecified form of boxing, although it seems to draw some influences from other closely related styles like Kickboxing as well, specializing in a combination of explosive punches, somersaults and killer throws. He can even do Izuna drops in the air!
Falcon’s shown his great skills against all sorts of foes throughout his adventures, he's very easily beat groups of pirates solo and prior to his adventures has fought wrestlers and martial artists on the ring. He’s taken on several trained ninja he beat and could see coming behind him in the blink of an eye like Ayame, bested people who could use weapons like his fellow rival and dual wielding swordsman Ryoma. He’s even gone mano a mano against some of Valgas’s personally trained goons, safe to say Falcon is no slouch.
But Falcon doesn’t just fight with his bare fists. He’s a crafty fighter who relies on his environment, looking for anything to use as a weapon or to give himself an advantage in battle: For example. Falcon is able to rip out wooden poles to hit his opponent, using plates as throwing weapons and then trapping his opponents with stairs, pushing or throwing objects like chairs, pots, barrels or boxes. Or use various items he can find around the area like metal pipes, guns, ball spikes, umbrellas, etc. and he can drive or use several types of vehicles or machinery: like his trusty plane, a tank or even a submarine missile turret.
Equipment
Hockenheim
As a pilot and aviator, Falcon regularly uses this plane to travel from one end of the world to another in search of adventure or the power stones. While we don’t know specifications, given Power Stone Is set in the early 20th Century, Falcon’s original japanese name, Fokker comes from the Dutch plane company of the same name. It's likely that the plane is based on the Fokker E.I, which was made in 1915-16 and is able to fly up to 130km/h at max speed. With the Power Stones, Falcon can make the plane transform into a giant rocket that will wipe anything in it’s path.
Chest Items
In normal Power Stone gameplay. Chests can suddenly spawn out of nowhere pretty regularly in the battle arena and contain many crazy items(133 in fact) for any of the combatants to use, whether it is firearms, hammers, swords, laser guns, potions, etc. It should be noted that Falcon or his opponent can only use one at a time and they have a limited amount of use as indicated by the Item Gauge. Of course, since they are far too numerous to simply just list in an essay or belong to different types of items, they will be separated into various categories:
Firearms
Gun: A six round magnum that can shoot and send opponents flying at long range. For some reason though, they’re a little unspecific and they just choose to call it “Gun.”
Bazooka: Rocket launcher that can launch up to four or five Missiles, both in ground or in-range. Though its heavy size does restrict Falcon’s movement.
Flamethrower: If Falcon on the off-chance is starting to maybe feel a little sociopathic. He can burn his enemies to cinder.
Machine Gun: A six-chamber minigun that can mow down an enemy in a barrage of bullets, it’s the longest lasting firearm in the game. Though just like the bazooka it also slows down his movement.
Ray Gun: A ray gun which can shoot various green halos of energy, causing the opponent to be shocked and paralyzed briefly.
Tranquilizer Gun: A tranquilizer gun that will send opponents to sleep for a short time.
Soap Bubble Gun: A bubble gun that can temporarily seal opponents inside a bubble if they are caught.
Homing Missile: Rocket Launcher with a targetting system that will home on the most nearby enemy
Beam Gun: A laser gun that can fire some beams, but requires time to charge.
Powerful Buster: Since Capcom loves to reference their Iconic Blue Bomber at any opportunity, it’s not surprising that his weapon would show up here. With it Falcon can shoot blasts of energy instead of little lemons. And if charged, it releases an even more powerful blast of energy!
Arm Gun: Arm Cannon that can shoot energy projectiles, like the homing missile the beam follows the closest target.
5-Way Shotgun: A 5-barrel shotgun that can shoot five simultaneous blasts.
Melee Weapons

Ice Sword: An ice sword that will freeze any enemy in a block of ice upon impact with its magic.
Lightning Sword: Lightning sword that strikes with well… lightning to electrocute.

Metallic Bat: A giant metal bat that will knock the opponent away.
Morningstar: Is also counter as a sword, delivering incredible pain by spinning this spiked ball.
Legendary Sword: A powerful sword that restores energy to the user.
Spoon: Only a spoonful.
Frozen Tuna: Is counted as a sword for some reason, slap your friends with a massive tuna that will send them spinning.
Harisen: Slap your enemies with a paper fan
Dragonslayer: Massive, thick, heavy and far too rough. Indeed, it was a heap of raw ir- okay it’s actually the Dragonslayer from Berserk. Same design and everything, and is used just about the same.
Amenomurakumo: A katana covered in lightning that can shoot several massive bolts of lightning from the sky, the sword is said to be strong enough to “rend the heavens and earth.”
Regular Hammer: If Falcon wants to simply play whack-a-mole with one of his opponents, he can grab and use hammers to just do the job. Complete with squishing them completely flat like a cartoon for comedic effect.
Toy Hammer: Will flatten enemies and make them spin.
Pickaxe: Will take off healing items from an opponent, the rubble created by the pickaxe can also be used as an attack.
Magical Hammer: The more hits you land, the more rich you’ll become

Fork: Functionally the same as the trident, for your Narancia stabbing needs.
Axes:
Lumber Jack’s axe: A smaller axe used for chopping wood, it does less damage than any of the other ones.
Battlefield Axe: A heavy badass battle axe.
Victory Axe: A heavier and damaging axe.

Deluxe Umbrella: Umbrella used by those of high society, is ofc stronger than the normal Umbrella.
Cheap Umbrella: A pretty fragile umbrella that will break more easily and do less damage.
Iron Pipe: metal pipe sfx, self explanatory.
Magical Staffs
Flame Rod: A staff of fire which pulls power from a volcanic core, and shoots several fire attacks like a flamethrower.
Ice Rod: Belonging to a kingdom of magic in the north, it commands blizzards and can freeze people in a block of ice.
Thunder Rod: A staff that can channel and shoot balls of lightning out of atmospheric electricity.
Magic Rod: A magical rod that can transmute/transform people into a statue.
Mystic Rod: Acts similar to the magic rod, except it turns people into a scarecrow.
Weird Rod: Yet again similar to the previous transformation ones, but it turns people into a cute little teddy bear.
Explosives
Bombs: What you expect, the normal bomb can come in all sorts of sizes. Small, medium and large, but functionally they’re the same outside damage.

Giant Boots: If you want to quite literally go big, you can wear these pairs of boots that will temporarily turn you big to stomp any poor person on your way.
Lance of Lava: A massive lance that belonged to Apollus’s Power Change, it can call down a rain of lava on the opponent.
Bamboo Shoot: A bamboo seed that will quickly grow a bamboo tree for Falcon to climb on.
Adhesive Spray: With this spray, Falcon can slow down his opponent’s movements.
Trumpet: This trumpet can release a sweet melody upon playing that will make the opponent forcibly dance against their will.

Transparentizer: This drink allows Falcon to temporarily become invisible.
Power Stone
The mystical stone that Falcon got from his father, it serves both as a wish granting device and transform through a method called Power Change. All sorts of legends surround the stone, saying that “it can make any dream come true”, create or destroy, or make light and darkness. There are some differences between the stones in the anime and game.
In the game, Falcon needs three power stones to transform. But in the anime Falcon can transform so long as he pulls the stone or the stone itself reacts to another Power Stone user. And speaking of such, while Falcon in the anime initially didn’t have great control over the stone and would de-transform at random, he has trained with Wang-Tang and grown strong enough to be able to control and prolong the form for extended periods of time. The Power Stone even has grown to have a sort of link to him, and comes back to transform him in situations where it’s taken away from him or if he’s in danger.
The Power Stones have granted all sorts of wishes from all the people that put their hands on them:
Weather Manipulation: Kraken wishing for all the clouds in the Country of Moonland to be gone. Apollus also states that the stones could control the weather.
Precognition: The stones are capable of telling the future.
Mind Manipulation: Kraken mind controlling a giant octopus
Resistance to Transmutation: Falcon’s body was turned into gold, and with a handwave Ayame wished it away
Pseudo-Reality Warping: Gunrock turning a mace of cards into a straight Royal Flush, and Jack the Slayer spreading misinformation on the newspapers to make people believe he was finally arrested,
Healing: Galuda curing unknown illnesses.
Abilities
Acrobatics
Falcon is surprisingly a lot more acrobatic than you’d think, he can jump distances long enough to reach a ledge, do double jumps or jump off walls or the mast of a ship. He can also push himself off walls to tackle his opponents or grab onto wood poles to launch himself to kick them.
Escape!
An universal mechanic used by all the characters in Power Stone, Falcon can automatically dodge or roll away from nearby attacks.
Transformations
Red Whirlwind
Falcon can use the Power Stone to transform into an epic robotic warrior by shouting “POWER CHANGE”, which he himself dubs The Red Whirlwind. This mode amplifies his already impressive strength to the point that no normal person stands a chance, and lets his metallic body take all sorts of punishment whether it be bullets, sharp weapons or explosions with no issue. But this form isn’t just good for tanking and has all sorts of awesome abilities and cool moves:
Flight: With those Jet Feet and Jetpack of his, Falcon can fly on the air, propel himself or hover.
Power Missile: He can shoot rocket punches from both of his hands, which he himself can re-direct to catch an opponent off-guard.
Power Hurricane: Falcon takes a cue from Street Fighter’s Ken and does a flaming Shoryuken against his opponent. He can not only create hurricanes of fire, but also creates hurricanes of wind as well.
Power Rocket: Thanks to being propelled by his Jetpack, Falcon builds enough momentum to ram into his opponent with incredible speed.
Power Explosion: Falcon charges up and begins to shoot a buttload of guided missiles into the opponent. It’s great for dealing with crowds of people.
Light Whirlwind
It is said that when all stones are reunited, a miracle will occur. At the end of his adventures in his fight with Valgas, Falcon with his determination to beat Valgas created the Light Stone. Transforming into the Light Whirlwind and now being able to fly with angel wings, he was strong enough to defeat Final Valgas.
Resistances
Power Stone characters share a good deal of “resistances”, though it is more accurate to say that they can break out of these effects. As they are initially affected by many of the items but can break out just as easily if the player smashes the buttons.
Lightning and Ice manipulation: Falcon can break out of being shocked or being sealed in a block of ice.
Mind Control: Can break out of the trumpet’s effects, which can make people forcibly march against their will.
Sleep Manipulation: Can quickly wake up after being put to sleep by a Tranquilizer Gun
Petrification: Can break out of being petrified by the Magic Rod
Transmutation: Can return from being transformed into a scarecrow or teddy bear

(“I’m going father! to where my heart leads me!”)
Despite being an amateur, was capable of training enough to become a decent boxer and kickboxer

Exposed Nero’s conspiracy along with Rouge and Ryoma, bringing peace to Fireland once more
Defeated Ryoma, Kraken, Valgas and Dr. Erode

Capable of destroying boulders into pieces with just his punches
In-game can easily throw or push a variety of different objects like giant ice cactuses or glaciers
While transformed as the Red Whirlwind, can perform all sorts of crazy feats:
Early on with the combined force of his Power Rocket and Ryoma’s Wind Strike, both could create a small explosion.
Destroyed a large cylinder pillar with Power Explosion
Created an even bigger explosion that sent him flying back with Power Rocket.
The Power Stones combined caused a volcanic eruption and managed to split/dispersed a cloud formation
Scales to Ayame while transformed, who managed to spin her shuriken fast enough to create a rain storm.
Earlier in the episode, Kraken was able to wish all the clouds from Moonland with his Power Stone.
Scales to Dr. Erode, who was able to conjure a giant thunderstorm that covered and shook the entire planet with his power.(941.163 Gigatons of TNT)
When Dr. Erode was defeated, his entire floating castle was quickly destroyed. Implying that his power was holding up the entire island. Falcon in the ending credits always shows up despite your character previously having rode on his plane, implying he might be the one that canonically defeated him.
Speed
Dodges a bullet from a magnum
Given the aforementioned storm feat, it’s very likely that it’s real lightning.

Brave and dumb enough to crash his own plane into Jack’s ship, and despite it exploding was completely fine
Fell off a minecart at a great altitude, with the debris of the bridge falling on top of him
Scales to Kraken, who survived an entire exploding ship in his base form.
Can tank all sorts of damage as the Red Whirlwind:
Weaknesses
While Falcon is pretty powerful on his own right, he tends to rely alot on the Power Stone to get him out of dangerous situations most of the time. A strong enough blow can even knock back Falcon into his regular form while he’s transformed and the form can eventually run out of juice, though Falcon has trained to prolong the duration of his transformation. It’s also possible to take away his Power Stone from him while de-transformed, but given the Power Stone’s link with him this is unlikely to work for long.
He also has a bit of an attitude problem, he can be fairly douchey and cocky. Sometimes ending up in the worst situation possible because of that confident attitude. This is how Falcon got kicked out of his career as a boxer by his trainer, by getting distracted mid-fight and losing against his opponent. And can sometimes outright ignore helpful advice from his butler Apollus.
Many of Falcon’s items have a limited gauge bar and can quickly run out of use after a few uses.
Like many Capcom franchises, Power Stone is sealed under the Capcom vault never to be seen again.
